People are similar to onions - we all have different layers whether it be related to socioeconomic levels, ability/disability, ethnic backgrounds, gender backgrounds, sexual orientation, or religious beliefs. In addition, it gets further complicated because one or more layers often intersects with each other. Thus, people in itself, are complicated human beings topped with emotions and on-going life issues.
To move the needle of inclusion forward, we need to talk about these different identities openly and authentically. Karen creates a space for open dialogue in the hopes of moving towards a culture of acceptance, understanding, patience, and tolerance.
Karen welcomes you to start the conversation by connecting with her…come with her on this new challenge!
